The WhisperKOOL Extreme tiR Fully Ducted (FD) series is a premium line of self-contained wine cellar cooling units designed for installation completely outside the cellar. By ducting cold air in and exhausting heat up to 25 feet away, this system ensures your storage remains noise​-free, vibration-free, and visually clean.

Core Product Line & Models
  - Extreme tiR 3500 FD: For cellars up to 800 cubic feet (2,688 BTUs).
  - Extreme tiR 5000 FD: For cellars up to 1,250 cubic feet (3,794 BTUs).
  - Extreme tiR 8000 FD: For large spaces up to 2,000 cubic feet (5,760 BTUs).

Key Specifications
  - Acoustics: Operates as low as 51 dB for near-silent performance.
  - Climate Management: Maintains a 55°F temperature differential and 50%–70% relative humidity.
  - Efficiency: Features oversized coils and variable-speed fans for high-ambient environments like attics.
  - Interface: Includes a remote KDT Plus digital controller and a liquid temperature bottle probe.

Control Options
When ordering, you must choose between:

1.  Standard KDT Plus Controller: Uses WhisperKOOL’s proprietary interface and liquid bottle probe.
2.  24V Thermostat Conversion Kit: Allows for control via smart thermostats (e.g., Nest or Ecobee). Please note that this option removes the standard WhisperKOOL display and probe.

Upgrades & Requirements
  - UV-C Lighting System: Optional add-on to eliminate mold and bacteria.
  - Installation: To maintain the factory warranty, the cellar must have proper R-value insulation (R-13 to R-19) and a sealed vapor barrier.
